Das Abenteuer in der fernen Welt zu suchen, war für viele Menschen schon immer ein großer Traum.

Vor nun mehr als 40 Jahren hatte das Ehepaar Stefanie und Otfried Reitz ebenfalls diesen Traum und bereisten Länder in Nord Europa und in Nord Afrika. Aus der Faszination zu solchen Fernreisen und der damals beruflichen Tätigkeit ist später das ACTION MOBIL entstanden. In den siebziger Jahren betrieb das Ehepaar Reitz in Saalfelden eine Full Service-Werbeagentur mit eigenem Industriefoto- und Filmstudio und angeschlossenen Bühnenwerkstätten. Neben Kunden aus der Möbelindustrie interessierten sich mehr und mehr Firmen aus der Modebranche für die Leistungen der Firma, damals „FULL ACTION TEAM“ genannt.

Herr und Frau Reitz wollten bei der Produktion von Sportmodekatalogen neue Wege gehen und suchten sich als Hintergründe für die Modeaufnahmen spektakuläre Landschaften in Afrika aus. Die Idee kam bei der Kundschaft gut an, stieß aber bei den meist weiblichen Foto-Models auf einen gewissen Widerstand, war doch das Arbeiten im oft staubigen Gelände wesentlich anstrengender als bei „shootings“ im Hotelgelände oder im Studio. Aus diesem Umstand heraus wurde die Idee geboren ein Wohnmobil mit Allradantrieb anzuschaffen. Das Fahrzeug sollte sich im Allradgelände der Sahara bewähren, im Fahrzeug sollten Dusch- und Schminkmöglichkeiten für die Models vorhanden sein und natürlich durfte eine Kaffeeküche nicht fehlen.

Fahrzeuge dieser Art waren in Europa damals nicht zu bekommen und so hat man sich entschlossen in den eigenen Bühnenwerkstätten der Werbeagentur eine maßgeschneiderte Kabine auf das Chassis von einem Chevrolet Blazer zu bauen. Schon dieser erste Prototyp sorgte bei den anschließenden Fahrten nach Nordafrika für Aufsehen. Weitere verbesserte Prototypen folgten und bald fragten Afrika Reisefreaks an, wo und wer solche Fahrzeuge baut.

Bauversuche mit GFK Sandwichelementen wurden gemeinsam, mit deutschen Herstellerfirmen gestartet und es entstanden die ersten Pick-up Kabinen auf Land Rover Fahrgestellen. In Afrika wurden Testerfahrungen gesammelt die von den Paneelherstellern in Deutschland dankbar aufgenommen worden sind. Erste Veröffentlichungen in europäischen Caravanjournalen sind erschienen und haben für Aufsehen gesorgt. So etwas war neu und noch nicht dagewesen. Sollte sich da eine Marktnische zeigen? Bis jetzt war ja alles nur für den Eigengebrauch gedacht gewesen.

1979 hat sich das Ehepaar Reitz entschlossen die Firma „ACTION MOBIL! zu gründen. Verschiedene innovative Aufbauvarianten sind entstanden. Bereits im Jahr 1984 wurde das erste ACTION MOBIL mit hydraulisch angetriebenem Hubdach gebaut. Später entstanden die spektakulären Aufbauten auf militärischen Chassis der Type MAN-KAT von denen weltweit in der Presse berichtet worden ist. Zuletzt entstand das wohl größte Wohnmobil der Welt mit Allradantrieb für einen Kunden in Nah-Ost.

Schon im Jahr 1989 ist Herr Stephan Wirths zum ACTION MOBIL Team gestoßen. Als gelernter Industriekaufmann, spezialisiert auf dem Gebiet „Nutzfahrzeugachsen“ hat er sein Wissen in die Firma eingebracht und hat im Lauf der folgenden 10 Jahren die spezielle Materie „Allradwohnmobile“ studiert. 1990 hat Herr Wirths die Tochter vom Ehepaar Reitz, Daniela Reitz, geheiratet. Die Zusammenarbeit von Herrn Reitz und Stephan Wirths war von Anfang an freundschaftlich und fruchtbringend für die Firma.

Im Jahr 2000 hat sich das Ehepaar Reitz entschlossen die Firma an die Jugend, Frau Reitz-Wirths und Herrn Wirths zu übergeben. Auch heute in der Pension, ist Herr Reitz eng mit der Firma verbunden, beschäftigt sich in der Hauptsache mit Marketing Aufgaben und ist Webmaster dieser Homepage. Der persönlich Stil beim Umgang mit den Kunden, die intensive Betreuung der Kunden auch nach dem Kauf einer ACTION MOBIL Kabine, wurde von der neuen Geschäftsführung übernommen und sind Grundlage für eine seriöse Geschäftsbeziehung. An vorderster Stelle steht die fachliche Kompetenz der Geschäftsführung und ein Team von Spezialisten.

Die Firma ACTION MOBIL gilt weiterhin als innovativer Ideenträger und sorgt immer wieder für technische Neuerungen, die vom Wettbewerb gerne nachgebaut werden. Das ACTION MOBIL Team ist aber stolz darauf immer die Ersten zu sein. Bis heute haben ca. 250 ACTION MOBIL Fahrzeuge die Werkstätten in Saalfelden verlassen und das ACTION MOBIL Team würde sich freuen auch Ihr Vertrauen zu gewinnen.

Looking for adventure in faraway countries has always been a dream cherished by a lot of people.

More than 40 years ago, the couple Stefanie and Otfried Reitz also shared this dream and travelled through a number of countries in northern Europe and the north of Africa. Later on, the fascination of these long-distance trips and the job held at the time were to result in the foundation of ACTION MOBIL.

In the seventies Mr. and Ms. Reitz were running a full-service advertising agency with an own industrial photo- and film studio plus stage workshops in Saalfelden. Beside customers from the furniture industry, more and more companies, engaged in the fashion business, came to take an interest in the services of the company, which at the time was called FULL ACTION TEAM.

In the production of sport fashion catalogues, Mr. and Ms. Reitz wanted to leave the beaten track and therefore chose spectacular African landscape as a backdrop for their fashion shots. The idea met with the approval of the clients, however it was less popular with the models, most of them female, since working in the often dust filled areas was a lot more strenuous than posing for shootings in and around hotels or in a studio.

Being aware of these drawbacks, the company owners came up with the idea of designing an all-wheel motor home. The vehicle was to prove its worth in the off- road terrain of the Sahara, it was to provide shower and make-up facilities for the models, and a small kitchen for making coffee was another prerequisite.

Vehicles of this type were not being offered in Europe in those days. Therefore it was decided to build a customized cabin in the stage workshops of the advertising agency and to mount it to the chassis of a Chevrolet Blazer. It was already this very first prototype that garnered quite some attention on its trips through northern Africa. Further improved prototypes were to follow and it was not long before Africa freaks wanted to know by whom and where such vehicles were being constructed.

Construction tests with GF sandwich elements were started in co-operation with German manufacturers and this is how the first pick-up cabins on the chassis of a Land Rover originated. In Africa, the experience gained in tests was collected and gratefully taken up by the panel manufacturers in Germany. Reports first published in German caravan magazines created quite a stir. Something quite novel and unprecedented had caught people’s interest. Was this to be a market niche? So far the vehicles had been designed for use by Mr. and Ms. Reitz only.

In 1979, the couple decided to found the ACTION MOBIL Company. As early as 1984 the first ACTION MOBIL vehicle with a hydraulically operated rising roof was constructed. This was later on followed by the spectacular cabins mounted to the military chassis of the type MAN-KAT, which was presented in the print media worldwide. Only recently the apparently largest all-wheel motor home in the world was built for a customer from the Middle East.

Already in the year 1989 Stephan Wirths joined the ACTION MOBIL team. An industrial clerk by training and a specialist in the area of axles for commercial vehicles, he placed his skills and knowledge at the disposal of the company. During 10 years he studied the special field of all-wheel motor homes. In 1990 Mr. Wirths married the owner’s daughter, Daniela Reitz.The co-operation between Mr. Reitz and Stephan Wirths has been amicable and fruitful right from the start.

In the year 2000, Mr. and Ms. Reitz decided to hand over the company to the next generation, to Ms. Reitz-Wirths and Mr. Wirths. Although retired by now, Mr. Reitz still has close ties with the company and now mainly takes care of marketing issues and of designing and maintaining also this homepage. The personal style in dealing with customers and the intense after-sales service for buyers of an ACTION MOBIL cabin has been adopted also by the new Management and will for ever be the basis of a reliable business relationship. First and foremost it is the technical competence of the Management together with a team of hand-picked specialists that will guarantee the company’s high reputation.

The ACTION MOBIL Company is seen as a provider of innovative ideas and again and again comes up with technical novelties that are gladly taken up by the competitors. The ACTION MOBIL team, however, is always proud of being first. To date some 250 ACTION MOBIL vehicles have left the workshops in Saalfelden and the ACTION MOBIL Team would be happy to also welcome you as their customer.

Chercher l’aventure dans des pays lointains a toujours été le rêve auquel beaucoup d’entre nous aspirent.

Il y a 40 ans c’était précisément le rêve du couple Stefanie et Otfried Reitz et ils ont beaucoup voyagé dans les pays de l’Europe du Nord et de l’Afrique du Nord. De la fascination pour de tels voyages lointains et de l’activité professionnelle d’alors est née plus tard Action Mobil.

Dans les années 70, le couple Reitz dirigeait une grosse agence de publicité ainsi qu’un studio de films et de photos industrielles avec leurs ateliers inhérents. Outre la clientèle de la branche mobilière, de plus en plus de sociétés du monde de la mode s’intéressaient aux activités de la société qui s’appelait à l’époque « Full Action Team »M. et Mme Reitz voulaient faire souffler un vent nouveau sur la production des catalogues de mode sport et ils se servirent de paysages spectaculaires d’Afrique comme fond pour les prises de vues. Cette idée fut bien accueillie par la clientèle, mais se heurta pourtant à une certaine résistance de la part des mannequins, la plupart du temps féminins : le travail en terrain poussiéreux était bien plus fatigant que les «  shootings » dans les hôtels ou en studio. On en vint alors à l’idée de se doter d’un motor-home version 4*4. Cet engin devait être capable d’affronter les terrains accidentés du Sahara, de fournir aux mannequins la possibilité de se doucher et de se maquiller, et naturellement posséder un coin cuisine.

Il était à l’époque impossible de se procurer de tels engins en Europe et c’est ainsi qu’on s’est décidé à construire dans les ateliers de décors d’une agence de publicité une cabine sur mesure sur le châssis d’une Chevrolet Blazer. Ce premier prototype fit fureur dès les voyages suivants en Afrique. On construisit d’autres prototypes améliorés et bientôt les «  fanas » de voyages en Afrique demandèrent où et qui construisait de tels engins.

On fit des essais de construction avec des éléments sandwich GFK en coopération avec des sociétés allemandes et ils donnèrent naissance aux premières cabines de pick-up sur des châssis de Land Rover. On continua à effectuer des séries de tests en Afrique qui furent bien accueillis en Allemagne par les fabricants de panneaux. Les premières publications dans le magazine européen Caravan se firent beaucoup remarquer. C’était quelque chose de nouveau, du jamais vu. Cela correspondait-il à un réel besoin sur le marché ? Jusqu'à présent la production n’était destinée qu’à un usage personnel.

 En 1979 le couple Reitz se décida à fonder la société « Action Mobil ». Différents modèles de carrosserie d’un concept nouveau furent construits. En 1984 on construisit le premier Action Mobil avec un toit levant à fonctionnement hydraulique. Plus tard sont nées les carrosseries spectaculaires assises sur un châssis militaire de type Man-Kat dont on parla beaucoup dans la presse mondiale. Dernièrement on vient de fabriquer pour un client du proche Orient le plus grand Motor-home 4*4 du monde.

C’est dès 1989 que M :Stephan Wirths rejoignit l’équipe de la société Action Mobil. En tant que promoteur industriel de métier, spécialisé dans le domaine des axes d’engins utilitaires, il a apporté à la société son savoir et s’est consacré pendant les 10 années qui ont suivi au sujet motor-home 4*4. M. Wirths a épousé en 1990 la fille de Mme Reitz et Stephan Wirths, Daniela Reitz. La coopération entre M. Reitz et Stephan Wirths fut dès le début amicale et fructueuse pour la société.

En 2000 M. et Mme Reitz se sont décidés à transmettre la société aux jeunes, à Mme Reitz-Wirths et à M.Wirths. Bien qu’étant toujours en retraite M. Reitz reste en contact étroit avec la société ; il se préoccupe avant tout du « marketing » de la société et c’est lui le créateur du site. La nouvelle direction a adopté son style personnel en ce qui concerne le contact avec la clientèle et le suivi intensif des clients après l’achat d’une cabine Action Mobil, ce qui est la base de relations d’affaires sérieuses. Au premier plan, il y a avant tout la compétence professionnelle de la direction et une équipe de spécialistes

La société Action Mobil est toujours considérée comme une entreprise créatrice, et elle apporte des nouveautés techniques qui sont volontiers reprises par la concurrence. L’équipe Action Mobil est toujours fière de continuer à être le numéro 1. Jusqu’à ce jour 250 engins Action Mobil ont été construits dans les ateliers de Saalfelden et l’équipe Action Mobil serait heureuse de gagner votre confiance..
